Customer care

Every piece is made by hand, one at a time, so a few things are worth knowing before and after it reaches you.

Questions I’m asked most

  • How long will my piece take to arrive, and can it be tracked?
  • What if it doesn’t fit — can a ring be resized?
  • How do I measure my ring size at home?
  • How should I clean silver, and what will tarnish it?
  • How do I look after a piece with stone, bone or timber in it?
  • Can you make something to commission, or remake a piece I already own?

Looking after handmade silver

Silver darkens with time and with the air around it — that patina is normal, and on a textured piece it is part of the design. A gentle polish with a soft cloth brings the highlights back. Perfume, hairspray, chlorine and household cleaners are the things to keep it away from.

Stones, bone, timber and other organics ask for a little more care: keep them out of long soaks and off the ultrasonic cleaner, and store the piece where it can’t knock against harder metal.
