Every piece is made by hand, one at a time, so a few things are worth knowing before and after it reaches you.
Finding your ring size
You can measure at home with a strip of paper. Wrap it around the base of the finger, snug but not tight, mark where it overlaps and measure the length in millimetres — that is the circumference, and it is the number to send me.
Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are at their largest, and check that the strip will slide back over the knuckle. A wide band sits more tightly than a narrow one, so it is worth saying which piece you are asking about.
If a ring you already own fits well, measuring its inside diameter works just as well. Send me the measurement and I will tell you what it means for the piece you have in mind.
Looking after handmade silver
Silver darkens with time and with the air around it — that patina is normal, and on a textured piece it is part of the design. A gentle polish with a soft cloth brings the highlights back. Perfume, hairspray, chlorine and household cleaners are the things to keep it away from.
Stones, bone, timber and other organics ask for a little more care: keep them out of long soaks and off the ultrasonic cleaner, and store the piece where it can’t knock against harder metal.
Take rings off before the gym, the garden and the washing-up. Silver is soft, and most of the dents I am asked to fix arrive that way.
Orders, postage and repairs
Because each piece is one of a kind, questions about a particular order are best answered about that piece rather than in general. Get in touch about anything to do with delivery, sizing after the fact, repairs, or a piece made to commission, and you will hear back from me as soon as possible.
Postage within Australia is a flat $25 AUD, tracked and insured. Or pick your piece up from me, free, by appointment. Outside Australia, choose that at checkout and I will quote the postage before you pay.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply to everything I make and sell, including the guarantee that goods are of acceptable quality and match their description. Nothing on this page takes those away.
